Psoriasis Balm

£14

A soft, spreadable balm formulated for psoriasis-prone skin. Made from the same botanical infusions as our baby balm — adapted for skin that needs to absorb and soothe.

Melts the moment it touches skin.

Absorbs without dragging.

Leaves a soft, protective layer that doesn't feel heavy.

Why we made it this way

Psoriasis skin is complicated. It can be inflamed, dry, thickened, sensitive, and reactive all at once — often to ingredients that work perfectly well on everyone else. We didn't want to make something that would irritate it further, or something so light it made no difference at all.

What we landed on is softer and more fluid than our bum balm — more oil, less wax — so it glides over plaques without drag and absorbs to soothe rather than sitting on top like a seal. It still leaves a protective layer, but the priority here is penetration and comfort, not barrier strength.

The botanicals are the same: the calendula and lavender infusions we make ourselves from whole flowers. The balance is different.

What's inside

  • Calendula-infused olive oil the same slow infusion we use in the baby balm. Traditionally used to comfort irritated, inflamed skin.
  • Lavender-infused olive oil whole flowers, not essential oil. Gentle botanical character without concentrated fragrance.
  • Avocado oil absorbs easily, balances the richer butters, makes the balm genuinely comfortable to spread over sensitive skin.
  • Coconut oil (refined, deodorised) a light oil that gives the balm its glide and slip without heaviness.
  • Shea butter the primary butter in this formula. Softer than mango, nourishing, well-tolerated by most reactive skin.
  • Mango butter a smaller amount than in the bum balm, just enough for a little structure without making it too firm.
  • Beeswax at 8% rather than 22%, so the balm stays soft and spreadable rather than forming a hard barrier.

No essential oils. No added fragrance. No colourants. No petroleum.

How to use

Warm a small amount between your fingertips and apply gently to affected areas. It spreads easily without needing much pressure — don't drag it across inflamed skin. Use as often as needed.

Some people find it works best applied to slightly damp skin after bathing, when the skin is most receptive. Others prefer to apply to completely dry skin. Try both and see what feels better for you.

A note on what this is

This balm is not a medical treatment and won't replace what your dermatologist recommends. If you're using prescription treatments, use those first and let them absorb fully before applying this.
